Podcasting expos to unite isolated podcasters, a tool that can save lives after a crash and a financial planner who focuses on Gen X and Gen Y clients will be featured at 1 Million Cups® Naples in November.
1 Million Cups ® Naples is held from 9-10 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month at the Naples Accelerator, 3510 Kraft Road, Ste. 200, Naples. Startups get six minutes to present their business, product or service, followed by up to 20 minutes of questions and advice from the audience, which includes the public, as well as SCORE, SBDC, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce members, entrepreneurs and business professionals. The audience can ask questions or participate through the 1MC app.
The presenters are:
PodFest MultiMedia Expo, a community of podcasters interested in and passionate about sharing their voice and message with the world through the powerful mediums of audio and video. Tampa podcaster Chris Krimitsos wanted to unite as many people as possible to learn, get inspired and grow better together through expos, with the next set for March in Orlando. So far, PME has helped more than 50 podcasters find their voice and monetize their passion projects through the PME community.
The Extractor, a safety and rescue tool created by Fort Myers resident Jesse P. Morgan, of Morgan Manufacturing. It’s mounted on a vehicle’s so it’s accessible and easy to use to break a window or cut the seat belt, if your windows are locked or your seat belt is jammed after a crash. Morgan invented The Extractor after Good Samaritans rescued him after his car was hit by a drunk driver, causing it to flip over and catch fire, leaving him trapped and upside down, hanging on by his seatbelt.
Prudent Financial Planning, which helps Gen X and Gen Y clients solve their most pressing financial needs, such as paying off student loans, car payments and credit card debts. Certified Financial Planner Patrick Logue of Ave Maria then helps clients build an emergency fund, analyzes investments and helps clients start investing. The aim is to help young professionals dramatically improve their futures and relieve financial stress.
Organic coffee will be provided by Guadalupe Roastery and the Florida Culinary Accelerator @ Immokalee and paid for by our event sponsor, Realtor Marisol Alasevich of Icon Premier Group-Sun Realty. Cold nitro-brew coffee also will be available.
The Kauffman Foundation developed 1MC® in 2012 as a free nationwide program to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs and startups over a cup of coffee. There are now 183 1MCs nationwide, with 12 in Florida.
